About the Artist

About the Artist

Glen Loates is a self-taught artist whose professional career began at the age of 11, when he designed the Canadian Cancer Society's daffodil and won the Royal Philatelic Award for Canada's first full-colour postage stamp, the "Gray Jay".

He is the first Canadian artist to be represented at the White House when he presented President Reagan, his painting "The Bald Eagle" in the oval office. His Royal Highness Prince Philip, and The Duke of Edinburgh are amongst many of the high profile private collectors of Glen's work.

Glen's work was exhibited at many prominent museums, such as The Royal Ontario Museum, The Alexander Koenig Museum, and The British Museum, to name a few.
