We read every message. If you are considering a piece and have a question about sizes, framing, delivery, or a particular work, write to us using the form and we will reply personally.
If you already own a Glen Loates work
Many people write to us after inheriting a framed piece, or after buying one at auction, wanting to know what they have. Is it a reproduction or an original? Is that the artist's signature? What is it worth?
These are fair questions, and we wish we could answer each one properly. The gallery is run by the family, and we do not have the staff to research and value individual pieces. What we can offer is general guidance.
Decorator editions were produced in large numbers and may or may not carry a signature added by hand. Limited editions were published in smaller numbers and sold out long ago, so they appear now only on the secondary market, where value depends on supply and demand, condition, and how sought after that particular image is. As a very general guide, unnumbered unsigned pieces tend to trade between $50 and $250 USD depending on size, and signed limited editions between $1,000 and $4,000 USD depending on size and scarcity. Those are ranges, not appraisals.
Originals are a different matter. They are valuable, and they should be appraised by a professional appraiser rather than estimated from a photograph.
