The Glen Loates Gallery
Glen's eye for detail is never more evident than in his studies of wildflowers and plants: the white of a trillium petal, a drop of dew resting on a leaf, the veins of a leaf beneath a resting monarch.
Many of these works pair a plant with the creature that visits it, a hummingbird at a columbine, a warbler on a jack-in-the-pulpit, so each one reads as a small, complete moment in nature.
