Pickerelweed in a summer marsh — the purple flower spikes rising from heart-shaped leaves, a damselfly perched at the top, the whole composition dissolved at the edges into the atmospheric blue-green of the water around it. One of Glen's most luminous early botanical works.
This 1964 botanical is one of his most distinctive and beloved wildflower works.
