A Grizzly Bear on a rocky riverbank — mouth open, moving directly toward the viewer, the enormous weight of the animal expressed in every brushstroke. This painting does not soften the grizzly: it is big, it is loud, and it is coming. The hump, the dished face, the dark fur at the legs and paws against the lighter shoulder — all of it is anatomically exact and compositionally fearless.
Glen painted the grizzly with the same discipline he brought to his quieter subjects — years of study from specimens and field observation, the anatomy internalized before he committed it to canvas. The result is an animal that occupies the painting completely, leaving no room for anything else.

Choose one of three edge finishes. A mirrored wrap gives the impression that the work continues around the edge of the canvas. A white edge offers a traditional, untouched finish, and a black edge frames the work with a quiet accent, almost like a shadow.
