# Stalking Lynx — Giclée on Paper

A Canada Lynx advances directly toward the viewer — head low, eyes fixed, enormous snowshoe paws lifting and placing with the deliberate silence of a cat that has been hunting this way its entire life. The coloured pencil rendering gives the lynx's winter coat extraordinary depth: the grey-ticked fur, the black ear tufts, the pale facial ruff, all built up in layered pencil marks that suggest both the animal's mass and the softness of its dense winter coat.

This is a deliberately confrontational composition — the lynx fills the lower two-thirds of the canvas, moving toward a point just outside the frame. The viewer is placed at the lynx's level, in the lynx's path. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; this Stalking Lynx is one of his most compositionally audacious and widely admired works.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
