# Meadow Lark — Giclée on Paper

A Western Meadowlark — the vivid yellow breast with its black chevron catching the morning light, the bird perched on a fence post with the prairie stretching behind it. Glen brought the same anatomical precision to the Meadowlark as to his Ontario birds, the specific arrangement of the breast streaking and the yellow below rendered without shortcut. The open country behind the bird — fence line, grasses, distant sky — places it exactly where this bird belongs.

The Meadowlark's song is the signature sound of the prairie morning, and Glen painted the bird with the awareness of someone who had heard it as well as observed it. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts whose bird studies extend across all of Canada's ecological regions.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
