# Chipmunk and Acorns — Giclée on Paper

A single chipmunk on a fallen oak leaf, cheeks not yet stuffed, regarding the viewer with one bright eye while an acorn sits at its feet. The simplicity is deliberate — Glen stripped away everything except the animal and the few autumn elements that define its world. The watercolour is tight and confident, the chipmunk's striped coat rendered with the fine-brush control that made his small mammal studies exceptional.

Glen had a particular affection for chipmunks — their quickness, their industriousness, the charm of their disproportionate cheek pouches. He observed them extensively near his Ontario studio and captured something essential in their character that more dramatic wildlife subjects don't always permit. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; his small mammal watercolours are among the most loved in his catalogue.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
