# Cloud Bank — Giclée on Paper

A winter valley view from an elevated vantage — forested ridges receding into a purple-grey cloud bank, patches of snow visible through the distant tree canopy, the foreground spruce and bare deciduous trees rendered in deep coloured pencil strokes. This is the northern Canadian landscape at its most expansive and its most austere.

Glen made this piece in coloured pencil, working with the medium's characteristic texture to suggest the depth of a cold sky and the layered recession of forested hills. The composition asks the viewer to stand where Glen stood — looking out over country that goes on longer than you can see. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; his landscape work is collected alongside his celebrated wildlife paintings worldwide.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
