# Black Eyed Susan — Giclée on Paper

A field of Black-Eyed Susans caught at the height of summer — the yellow so saturated it pushes back against the pale background, the dark centres anchoring each bloom. This is one of Glen's botanical studies, where the same observational discipline he brought to wildlife was turned toward the wildflowers of the Ontario countryside he knew by foot and season.

Glen Loates began his professional career at age eleven designing a daffodil for the Canadian Cancer Society, and won the Royal Philatelic Award for Canada's first full-colour postage stamp. His botanical eye was as rigorous as his wildlife eye — he understood how flowers hold light differently from fur or feather, and painted accordingly. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; his work has been collected internationally for over five decades.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
