# Over Twilight — Giclée on Paper

A boreal treeline silhouetted against a twilight sky — the dark forms of spruces and dead snags in the foreground, the distant hills a blue-purple band, the sky above fading from pale yellow at the horizon through blue to the first grey of approaching night. This 1990 coloured pencil landscape is one of Glen's most purely atmospheric: no animal, no foreground detail — just the shape of the north at the end of a day.

The treeline silhouette is a composition that demands restraint, and Glen brought exactly that. The piece works because of what is not there: the colours are few, the detail is suppressed, the mood carries the whole painting. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; this quiet nocturnal landscape is one of his most distinctive and meditative works.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
