# Humid Afternoon At Drag Lake — Giclée on Paper

A summer afternoon at Drag Lake — the viewer placed among the trees on the bank, looking through maples and birches to the lake surface beyond, the opposite hillside a dense wall of green with a cloud building above it. One red maple leaf has already turned; the rest of the tree is still summer green. This 2017 coloured pencil landscape is among Glen's most recent work and shows his landscape discipline fully intact — the composition layered from foreground bark and branches through middle-ground foliage to the lake and far hills.

Drag Lake in Haliburton has been a recurring subject across Glen's career, and this late-period painting brings all of his landscape experience to a single summer afternoon. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; this piece is among his most recent and most richly observed landscape works.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
