# Fawn — Giclée on Paper

A whitetail fawn lies curled in a spring forest clearing — white spots vivid on its rust-red coat, the large dark eye completely trusting, trilliums and violets around it. This is the painting that defines the fawn in Canadian wildlife art: the animal perfectly still, perfectly camouflaged against the dappled forest floor, placed in the specific botanical world of an Ontario May morning with botanical precision.

The trillium — Ontario's provincial flower — frames the fawn at the left, its white petals as precisely rendered as the fawn's spots. Glen brought the same observational depth to both.
