# Drag Lake Cloud Study — Giclée on Paper

A summer sky above Drag Lake — enormous cumulus clouds billow and flatten against a clear blue above the Ontario Shield, the distant forested hills just visible at the bottom edge of the composition. This is Glen as cloud painter: the sky is the entire subject, the land merely the horizon line that gives the clouds their scale.

Glen made extended field trips to Drag Lake in Haliburton, Ontario across his career, and the sky studies produced there represent some of his most atmospheric and painterly work. Executed in coloured pencil, the clouds are built up in soft overlapping marks that capture both their mass and their light. Glen Loates is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts; his landscape work is collected alongside his celebrated wildlife paintings worldwide.

Produced as a museum-quality giclée on archival, acid-free paper using fade-resistant inks. A 1" white border surrounds the image, ready for the framer of your choice.
